Class 5 Truck Licence

Class 5 Unit Standard covers vehicles with a gross laden weight of more than 25,000kg.
Pre - Requisites
1. A class 5 learner licence is required to do this Unit Standard.
2. Log Book Unit Standard (24089) completed within the last 12 months.
Class 5 Truck Licence Includes:
Unit Standard 24089
(Fatigue Management, Work Time and Driver Logbook) – 5 Credits
Assessment of Unit Standard 17577
(Operate a rigid vehicle to meet the requirements for a full Class 5 drivers licence) – 8 Credits
NOTE – YOU MUST HAVE SAT THE LOGBOOK UNIT STANDARD WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS, OR YOU MUST RE-SIT.

Upon Successful Completion
The candidate will receive a certificate on completion of the Unit Standard, which they take to any NZTA Agency such as VTNZ or AA to have their licence upgraded by paying the appropriate fees.
